Measuring students’ conceptions of light waves: A survey in Central Java

Abstract Students’ conceptions an important role in achieving learning goals, especially the concept of light waves physics. The aim this research is to measure students’ waves. This a survey with 519 respondents (K-11 students age about 17 years old consisting 399 females named “ Mba’e ” and 120 Males Le calling Central Java). instrument used seven questions from MOLWI that have been developed. results are categorized based on six conception categories: Sound Understanding (SU); Partial Positive (PP); Negative (PN); Misconception (MC); No (NU); Coding (NC). show Java category SU = 29%, PP 3%, PN 26%, NU 4%, MC 27%, NC 0%.
